"My time spent on the Come to Life retreat touched me deeply: the sense of safety; the tenderness, care, warmth and skill with which Penny and Vicky held the group. Read more.... "   Helen OGrady
"This morning as I came down for
re-entry into family life, I became aware of being aware of a much greater degree of emotional nuance to how I was feeling, and the needs that that
was pointing to. I felt that was a tremendous breakthrough for me and in the words of my son definitely points to me 'getting it'!"

How to 'grow' aliveness
Experience shows that our aliveness is grown through a path of compassionate presence. And this is best cultivated in community with others. Most of us are not lucky enough to have a community of people around us willing to stay present to us whatever we are feeling.
This is one of the important ingredients to coming alive in full acceptance of who we are - our strengths and weaknesses.

This retreat is for people wanting to grow their capacity to be present to themselves with care, love and compassion and to extend that care to others - knowing that our biggest desire and delight, when the fear drops away, is to contribute to others.

What happens on a retreat?
This is a retreat - not a workshop so there are no 'lessons' as such - we will create our days together, perhaps choosing to start and/or end the day with a short meditation; spend time deepening our connections together in the larger group - or splitting into smaller groups; taking a walk out in nature, eating together and depending on who is present and what is wanted - we might chose other creative activities together such as singing or dancing or just chilling in the evenings. You will be invited to explore 'stuck' areas in your life and to receive compassionate empathic witnessing from Penny, Vicky and the group - which can be very healing. And there is no pressure to explore anything - this is your space where you choose what is best for you.
Whatever we choose, we will hold the intention of: Presence, Curiosity  and Compassion during our time together - without any pressure on ourselves that we will 'have to' live up to our intentions.

PictureSteve and Ali about to cook homegrown pumpkin for retreat!
Steve and Ali cooked us delicious and wholesome food on our last two retreats.
We aim to cater for as many special dietary needs within reason (although as committed vegetarians we draw the line at cooking meat and fish). Depending on the season, some of the produce will be organic, homegrown on our small holding.
