Learning How to Handle Difficult Communication
with greater strength and ease
- with family, friends and colleagues

Picture
This is a one day workshop for anyone wanting to develop their ability to listen without judgement or blame yet without letting go of what is important to YOU.

During this day, we will
Look at what gets in the way of us listening,
practice listening to ourselves and to each other
Enquire into what it is we want to listen for
Explore how to notice and what to do when we or the other has stopped being able to listen
Discover what isn't listening and why it is useful to know the difference

Deep listening:
  • is a salve to our emotional wounds
  • can lead to understanding and connection
  • Engages all of our senses, our heart and our head
  • doesn't necessarily involve agreeing with the other person
  • is about enquiring beyond the words someone is saying
  • can lead to new insights - for you and the other person
  • starts with, and always includes you listening to yourself!
  • sees judgemental words as clues to what is important (as long as we don't take them literally)
  • regards blame and judgement as old programmes running themselves - they are not the language of the heart
For Whom?
